  Campout Information and Registration

Cub World Campout at McGregor Smith
Scout Reservation

December 7 - 9, 2007

A Cub World campout will occur the second week-end in December at the McGregor Smith Scout Reservation near Inverness, FL just inside Citrus County.  The theme for the campout is Medieval Faire.  The cost is $15 per cub scout and $15 for the first parent.  The total cost per family will not exceed $30 regardless of the number of family members.  All those who plan to attend the campout need to register and pay for the event in advance so that we can reserve adequate campsite space.  Please register by emailing us your name, number of people in your group and arrival plans for the week-end.  Once there is sufficient interest, we will need to collect the money as soon as possible in order to register for the event.

Directions to McGregor Smith Scout Reservation are given below.

• From Temple Terrace, take Fowler Avenue east to I-75 north.  From New Tampa get on I-75 heading north.  Continue on I-75 until exit 329 at Wildwood.  Go west on SR 44 for 8.7 miles to Boy Scout Road which is just west of the Withlacoochee River.  Turn left and go 0.9 miles.  The entrance to the reservation is a red and white arch.  Drive in and park in a designated area.  See the attached map.
