  Pack Picnic

Lettuce Lake Park

October 14, 2007

The pack will host a picnic at Lettuce Lake Park on Sunday October 14, 2007 from 12 noon to 3 PM.  The park is located on Fletcher Avenue about one mile west of I-275.  The pack will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, beans and drinking water for everyone.  We only ask that each family let us know how many are planning to attend and bring a side dish or dessert for eight or dip and chips.  Please e-mail us this information or give it to your Den Leader by the Pack Meeting in September .  We will try to use one of the pavilions next to the open field that is on the left as you drive into the park.  All scouts should wear their pack t-shirts.  We will also try to have camping equipment set up for you to consider if you intend to camp with us.

Directions to Lettuce Lake Regional Park are given below.

• From Temple Terrace, take 56th Street south to Fletcher Avenue.  Turn right (east) onto Fletcher Avenue.  Continue on Fletcher Avenue for about two miles.  The entrance to the park will be on your left at a lighted intersection.  Drive in and look for us on the left beside the open field.  Park in a convenient lot next to the pavilion.  See the attached map.

• From New Tampa, take Bruce B. Downs Boulevard south to I-75.  Take I-75 south to the Fletcher Avenue exit.  Turn right (west) onto Fletcher Avenue.  Continue on Fletcher Avenue for about a mile. The entrance to the park will be on your right at a lighted intersection.  Drive in and look for us on the left beside the open field.  Park in a convenient lot next to the pavilion.  See the attached map.
